Top world natural place to visit in nepal.

Tilicho Lake

It is one of the highest lakes in the world at an altitude of almost 5,000 meters located in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas in Manang district of Nepal. Anyone attempting to do the Annapurna Circuit route usually cross these watersheds between Manang and Kali Gandaki valleys above the 5,000 meters high Thorong La pass. Various lodges have been built between Manang and the Lake, but there aren’t any accommodation sites or even teahouses past the Tilicho Base Camp lodge. Tilicho Lake and the trek as a whole is a very revitalizing experience, yet a very demanding and an extremely adventurous terrain, not meant for everyone, only the adventure junkies so-to-say.

Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)

With terraced rice paddies, luscious rhododendron forests, and high altitude landscapes along with the Annapurna range in view most of the times, Annapurna Base Camp trek is certainly one of the most popular treks in the Annapurna region. It combines so many different landscapes and perhaps is the only trek which brings you closer to the base of 7,000-8,000 m high peaks in such a short duration of time. The trek is almost 7 to 11 days long, depending on the trekker’s itinerary and the length of walking days. ABC can be trekked almost any time of the year; however in the winters the base camp is sometimes closed due to the level of snow; according to experts’ springtime is certainly the most appealing time to visit ABC due to the full bloom of the rhododendron forests which gives the trek a truly majestic feel.

Upper Mustang

The Upper Mustang trek can also be called a peek into the hidden world of Buddhist kingdom of Mustang, also called Lo. Lo used to be a part of the Tibetan empire, and is therefore very closely related to Tibet; not only the culture, also the landscape is very much related to Tibet. Surrounded by rocks in all kinds of colors and bizarre formations, Mustang is mostly a barren landscape where the villages with their bright colored fields are like Oasis in the deserts. Mustang lies in the shadow of the Dhaulagiri region and is a complete desolate landscape. The culture of the people living there is one of the major attractions for tourists and visitors alike.

Panch Pokhari

Panch Pokhari is Nepali for ‘five lakes’ at the base of Jungal Himal, which are considered to be holy and of religious importance. The trek to Panch Pokhari is a 12 days trek to these five holy lakes through untouched traditional villages in the presence of spectacular Himalayan landscapes. The trek offers pristine mountain views, rich culture and genuine adventure combined with unsurpassed scenic beauty and biological diversity as you make your way to a group of high altitude lakes, sacred to both Buddhist and Hindu.

Poon Hill

Poon hill is the view point in the Annapurna foothills that offer unobstructed and magnificent mountain views. The Ghorepani and Poon Hill trek is a colorful foray into the Annapurna Region which starts and ends in Pokhara. The trail goes through patchwork valleys, dense mossy forests and past icy waterfalls where one can stop to cool off and rest. On the way to Poon hill around every corner is a tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains, whole horizon of which is revealed to you as you reach the higher points of your trek. The trek to Poon hill certainly one not to miss out on if you are planning to visit Nepal anytime soon.

Styles of Nepalese Handicrafts

Baskets made in Nepal come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors – making them multifunctional. They are made from materials ranging from split cane to rice straw to bamboo to pine needles to recycled plastics. Vases, coasters, purses, trays, storage containers, and serving baskets are just a few of many available products. Whether you choose a traditional basket woven according to time honored methods or one of the innovative new products, you will have a unique yet typical piece of Nepalese culture..

Carving wooden blocks into traditional patterns and using them as prints is a time honored and highly skilled craft. With a history of printing on both paper and cloth, updated designs are now printed on specially prepared handmade paper and on hand loomed cotton fabrics, which in turn are used to create interesting products, such as unique stationary sets, clothing and household items like cushion covers, bed sheets, table cloths and napkins.

In Nepal, forging metal images is a very old art. Metal craft products include images of popular motifs of Hinduism and Buddhism, but also utilitarian utensils. These products are mostly produced by household units clustered around the city of Lalitpur (Patan). Metal images are produced with the lost-wax casting. This method of casting is done by preparing a wax model, covering it with varieties of clay, heating the piece so that the wax is melted, extracting the liquid wax so that cavity is created, pouring metal into the cavity, cooling it and transferring the original model into the metal image. The metal image from the casting is very rough. This rough image is then made smooth and made precise by chiseling. This complicated process requires an artist’s conception, an engineer’s perfection and the skillful hands of a craftsperson.

In certain villages of southern Nepal (Janakpur) it is a tradition for women to paint lively designs on walls for their homes, which vary depending on the occasion. Common Images include animals, including elephants, parrots, peacocks, turtles and fish, as symbols of prosperity and good fortunes, and wedding scenes and gods to bless new couples. Now artists create these vibrant designs not only on walls but also painted on handmade Nepalese paper, posters and fabrics. Other products featuring Mithila imagery include mirrors, ceramics, table cloths, bed sheets and T-shirts.

Rara Lake -look like a little piece of haven

The Rara Lake is the biggest and deepest fresh water lake in the Nepal Himalayas. It is the main feature of the Rara National Park, located in the Jumla and Mugu Districts.More species of birds (236) nest around Rara Lake than people visited in 2010 (170). Yet the largest lake in Nepal, ensconced within its smallest national park, is only three hours walk from an airstrip. It’s a beautiful, calm haven surrounded by forests, and a paradise for bird watchers. Rara Lake lies in the remote Karnali region, North West of Kathmandu and the area surrounding the lake was declared a National Park in 1976. The lake is the obvious focal point of the park where some well preserved forest and abundance of wildlife are found in the protected area. The lake is situated at 2990 meters above the sea level but within the park area there is a viewpoint called Chuchemara Peak (4039m) gives a spectacular view over the Himalayas on the horizon.Rara is a good destination point for trekking in the west. The trail is very much "off the beaten path" and affords glimpses of culture and scenery very different from those in the rest of the country. The centerpiece of the park is the biggest lake of Nepal. Along mountain paths and a series of picturesque villages, one reaches the magnificent banks of Rara lake. Traditional Nepali Musical Intrument.

The Madal (Nepaliमादल), used mainly for rhythm-keeping in Nepalese folk music, is the most popular and widely used hand drum in Nepal. The Madal consists of a cylindrical body with a slight bulge at its center and heads at both ends, one head larger than the other. It is usually played horizontally in a seated position, with both heads played simultaneously.

The bansuri is a transverse flute of South Asia made from a single hollow shaft of bamboo with six or seven finger holes. An ancient musical instrument associated with cowherds and the pastoral tradition, it is intimately linked to the love story of Krishna and Radha and is also depicted in buddhist paintings from around 100 CE. The Bansuri is revered as Lord Krishna's divine instrument and is often associated with Krishna's Rasa lila; mythological accounts tell of the tunes of Krishna's flute having a spellbinding and enthralling effect not only on the women of the Braj, but even on the animals of the region.

Jhyali (Nepali: झ्याली) is a traditional folk Percussion instrument from Nepal. They are thinly walled, consist of a pair of round, metal plates, resembling cymbals, and are used in both folk and classical music in Nepal. Unlike most percussion instruments around the world, the Jhyali is played by rubbing the plates with the right hand rising and the left hand descending at the time when they clash.
These percussion instruments are made by a Nepali alloy that is called pancha dhatu, which means five metals. The alloy consists of brass, copper, silver, zinc and gold, and are usually made by blacksmiths.
